Germany charges 19% import VAT on the value of goods plus transport. Since 1 July 2026 the EU also charges a flat €3 customs duty for each different tariff category in parcels worth up to €150 sent under the IOSS scheme, a temporary measure due to run until 1 July 2028. Who delivers in Berlin
Lines to Germany usually hand over to DHL Paket and Deutsche Post, with some lines handing over to Hermes or DPD. The handover is where tracking can go quiet for a few days; that is normal. Once the local carrier has the parcel, its own website shows more detail than the agent's tracking page.
